The Merger 6 in 2 is a high-end device with a very high throughput rate and the lowest possible delay of DMX signals. The merging is done in step with the incoming DMX signal. This allows a maximum latency of a protocol (22.4 ms) occur only. The internal CPU operates therefore with a very fast real-time multitasking operating system.

Of particular advantage is the flexibility of the Merger 6 in 2. The Merger 6 in 2 offers the opportunity to use the device as well as 6 in 2 or as two separate 3 in 1 merger devices. In operating mode “Two 3 in 1” both merger behave by the potential separation as completely independent units. In many cases this may be a further device can be saved.

The Merger 6 in 2 is designed as a plug-in device with 1 unit for a 19” rack system. So it can be installed in control cabinets easily. Due to the small size and mass, the device can also be operated locally.

The LSS Merger 2 in 1 is a component of lighting networks. Two different DMX signal can be analyzed, summarized in one and transmitted. The merger CPU in the background is a highend device with a very high workflow and the lowest possible delay time DMX signals. The merging is done in step with the incoming DMX signal, so there may be only a maximum latency of one protocol (22.4 ms). RDM compatible network node for rack systems

The LSS MasterPort RM is a network node for the sophisticated lighting network. It is fully RDM compatible and supports the RDM traffic of all connected devices. RDM allows effective and easy-to-implement hardware diagnostics of connected hardware.

The LSS MasterPort RM is equipped with two high performance CPUs, which process DMX and RDM signals separately. This creates a stable, high-quality DMX-signal with simultaneous RDM signal processing. Faulty signals are thus excluded.

The LSS MasterPort RM has pronounced merge abilities. In addition to an Ethernet port, the device features a DMX and twelve free configurable DMX ports that can be individually defined as in – or out ports. Thus, up to twelve outgoing or up to thirteen incoming universes are possible. The DMX ports can be designed as RJ45 or 5pin XLR connectors. In addition to DMX 512, the MasterPort RM supports all popular network protocols such as sACN and ArtNet, AVAB/IPX, AVAB/UDP and ShowNet. The use of sACN with more than eight universes necessarily requires the use of FX Swichtes with IGMP snooping!

The power supply of the LSS MasterPort RM can be done either via 230V power supply (IEC receptacle) or via Power-over-Ethernet. Both types of power supply can be connected for operating safety. In this case, Power-over-Ethernet has priority over the power supply.

The MasterGate is a universal converter of various media and communications protocols that are used in lighting technology. It is able to route, to merge and to convert incoming data into other data protocols. The MasterGate is able to rearrange the data in new universes or subnets of most protocols. Here, the MasterGate is limited by the technical specifications of the protocols only.

The MasterGate has various real-time monitor displays. So data streams and data activity in the network can be monitored easily and affected if this is necessary. The MasterGate actively supports remote management and provides a convenient verification function. Single events are monitored and can be indicated acoustically. Each MasterGate can be optionally equipped with DMX filters to manipulate an individual DMX circuit or whole circuit groups. Therefore the MasterGate replace various test and measurement instruments.

As a special feature on other converters, the MasterGate can also act as a server in a lighting network. First, it can be used as storage in a PLC-based control system with a digital slave console. On the other hand, it comes with register storage; up to 32 lighting atmospheres can be saved and retrieved as needed. The MasterGate is completely free in the choice of the incoming and outgoing data protocols so that provides easy access from any type controller is guaranteed.

The MasterGate can be used not only as a store of lighting atmospheres. In collaboration with the Salzbrenner Stagetec® the MasterGate comes with an interface to the Nexus system. So the MasterGate act as a gateway between the worlds of light and audio.

All MasterGate+4 are equipped with eight merge buffers, but the buffers five to eight were designed as virtual buffers. But the MasterGate+4 has eight physical merge buffers and four additional DMX outputs. This makes it ideal for use in large networks with high data throughputs.

The MasterGate+4 has various real-time monitor displays. So data streams and data activity in the network can be monitored easily and affected if this is necessary. All designs of the MasterGate can be used as a server in a lighting network: As storage in a PLC-based control system with a digital auxiliary console and for up to 32 lighting atmospheres. But with the front panel the MasterGate SL has a very convenient access to this atmosphere storage. On the panel, all atmospheres can be saved and mixed (direct call or call 1-of-n). All times for fade-in and fade-out plus the dimming times can be set for every atmosphere and saved individually. Of course, all light values and time settings can be changed right on the device. So the MasterGate SL has the functionality of a small theatre light system.

The MasterGate SL can be used not only as a store of lighting atmospheres. In collaboration with the Salzbrenner Stagetec® the MasterGate SL comes with an interface to the Nexus system. So the MasterGate SL acts as a gateway between the worlds of light and audio.

MasterPort 2

The LSS MasterPort 2 is the sequel of the popular LSS MasterPort, which can be found in many lighting systems in Europe. The MasterPort 2 is a node for the demanding lighting network. With it light data can be changed from Ethernet to DMX. It supports up to four DMX universes and in each Universe up to four transmitters can be HTP-merged. The Master Port supports DMX 512 and all common network protocols such as sACN and ArtNet, but also AVAB/IPX, AVAB/UDP and ShowNet.

The MasterPort 2 is explicitly designed for on-stage using: It is noiseless cooled and therefore totally silent, the display can be switched off and, not least, the MasterPort can be completely remote controlled by LSS ConfigCore and RDM. The power supply of the built-in device is via PoE or 24V DC. The portable version of the MasterPort 2 can also be powered by an internal power supply with 230V AC (powerCon).

The Master Port 2 is available in two versions: Either as a flush-mount version for panels and connection boxes with a minimum depth of 80mm or as portable with integrated power supply. Both versions can be supplied with various setups of DMX connectors. Following setups are possible: 4x DMX-In, 4x or 2x DMX out DMX In / 2x DMX out.

MasterPort 2 PSU

The MasterPort 2 PSU is a node for the demanding lighting network. With it light data can be changed from Ethernet to DMX. It supports up to four DMX universes and in each Universe up to four transmitters can be HTP-merged. The Master Port 2 PSU supports DMX 512 and all common network protocols such as sACN and ArtNet, but also AVAB/IPX, AVAB/UDP, ShowNet and it is ANSI E1.20 2006 RDM-ready.

The highlight of the MasterPort 2 PSU: Each Universe can be used either as a data channel or as a data channel with 24V DC power supply. This is particularly interesting when color changers, motor yokes or LED luminaries should be controlled. The MasterPort 2 PSU supports a total output current of 20 amps. Each DMX connector is electrically isolated. The MasterPort 2 PSU is powered by Power-over-Ethernet or an external power supply (24V DC).

FileMaster

The FileMaster is part of the LSS Discovery-System, but also it can be used as a single component of lighting networks in theatres and TV studios. The FileMaster takes on the data management, data protection and provides in conjunction with a LSS ipMaster a powerful remote management. Thus, an effective fault management is possible.

The capabilities of the FileMaster are not limited to lighting networks. Basically, it can be part of any Ethernet network as a Network Attached Storage (NAS) or a server. As an intranet or Internet server, the possibilities are numerous. For example, the FileMaster can be as a file server, a print server, a mail server etc.

The FileMaster use 2.5’’ SATA removable hard disks as storage medium. Up to two disks can be placed in a removable frame with front side access. So the FileMaster supports RAID 0, 1 and 5. The advantages are obvious: High data security with high data throughput.

The LSS DMX Booster 1 in 1 modulated is developed for the transmission of DMX512 signals in rail systems of TV studios. In a lighting network, it is a receiver of DMX signals directly behind the rail system and prepares weak signals for onward transmission in the network.

The LSS DMX Booster 1 in 1 modulated can also be used as a DMX-Y amplifier. The DMX output is isolated as the input by opto-isolators and EMC protection circuit. It has DMX signal detection and requires no additional configuration. The DMX Booster 1 in 1 modulated can be installed quickly and easily by bolts or mounted onto 35mm DIN rail. For operation a 24V DC power supply is needed.
